Insurance Information

Physiotherapy

Not all insurers have a contract with Wijs Gym + Fysio. With contracted insurers, the treatment invoice(s) can be billed directly to the insurer. With non-contracted insurers, the client pays for the treatment(s) and can then submit the treatment invoice(s) to the insurer themselves. Insurers who have a contract with us are listed below in green and companies who do not have a contract with us are listed below in orange:

The cost of the physiotherapy session(s) will be billed directly to the insurer, provided the client has physiotherapy coverage included in their insurance policy.

If the client is insured with a contracted provider but does not have physiotherapy coverage included in their insurance policy, the cost of the physiotherapy session(s) needs to be paid in-full by the client.

The cost of the physiotherapy session(s) needs to be paid in-full by the client. The client will receive an invoice for the physiotherapy services rendered. The client can submit the invoice to their insurer and may receive a cost reimbursement of anywhere between 50-100%.

The client can contact their insurer directly to confirm their reimbursement amount.

In the Netherlands, physiotherapy for adults is only reimbursed through supplementary insurance policies.

For chronic indications, treatments are only reimbursed through basic insurance policies starting from the 21st treatment. This means that the first 20 treatments will be billed through the supplementary policy first (if applicable) and then to the client directly (once the supplementary coverage has been consumed).

Osteopathy

The appointment cost must be paid in-clinic. The client can then submit the treatment invoice to their insurance company. Most health insurers will reimburse the treatment in whole or in part, if alternative healthcare is included in the client’s supplementary package and provided the treatment is performed by a registered osteopath.

The client can contact their insurer directly to confirm their reimbursement amount.
