Mobility + Core: Upper Body

You will be taken through a series of movements that will help you increase your range of motion and improve your control of the muscles around your joints – particularly those in your lower body.

 

Although the emphasis is mainly on mobility, strength and flexibility exercises are also included, as these are necessary to increase your range of motion. The session always ends with some core activation. Body weights and/or free weights are used. If you have any injuries or limitations, these can always be accommodated – your instructor will provide alternative exercises that work the same area/muscles.

 

Mobility is different than stretching! While mobility focuses on the ability to actively move a joint through its range of motion, stretching focuses on improving your flexibility. They complement each other, but are not the same. This class uses both.

 

This class is suitable for everyone and will help prepare your body for the demands of everyday life, while also helping to prevent future injuries.
