Your journey begins with a complimentary gym intake. During this session, we will discuss your goals, training history, lifestyle, and any injuries or limitations. This allows us to understand exactly where you are starting from and help you choose the membership or package best suited to your needs.
Next, you will be booked in for a 90-minute (combined) physiotherapy assessment and introductory training session. A physiotherapist will assess your movement, strength, and mobility so your trainer can ensure that you receive a truly personalized training experience from the start.

Your Gym Intake at Wijs is the first step toward a training plan that truly fits you. During this one-on-one conversation, we take the time to understand your lifestyle, training history, goals, and any relevant medical considerations, so we can tailor your gym experience from day one.
You will start with a brief tour of the gym, followed by an informal discussion with your trainer. Together, you will review your intake form, talk through your goals, address any questions, and explore what kind of training or support will suit you best. This session also helps your trainer determine which Wijs product or program is the right fit for you moving forward.
By the end of the intake, you will have a clear plan for next steps, and your trainer will book your next appointment. If you are interested in Personal Training, this will include scheduling a 90-minute (combined) Fysio Assessment and Intro Session.
The (Personal Training) Fysio Assessment + Intro Session is a comprehensive 90-minute session designed to set you up for safe, effective, and personalized training at Wijs. This session will be the first step after your Gym Intake.
The session will begin with a 30-minute assessment with one of our physiotherapists. During this assessment, we evaluate your overall physical condition, posture, movement patterns, and mobility. We also look at any existing complaints, pain points, or potential risk areas. This allows us to develop a clear, objective understanding of how your body functions and how to best support your training.
Immediately following the assessment, you will continue with a 60-minute session with a personal trainer
Our 7-Week Starter Program is designed to help you build a strong foundation for long-term, independent training. Whether you are new to the gym or looking for more structure and confidence, this program combines personal coaching, education, and guided practice to help you train safely, effectively, and with purpose.
Over seven weeks, you will work closely with a personal trainer while gradually learning how to train independently. The program includes a combination of Personal Training sessions, Open Training sessions, weekly educational topics, and practical assignments to reinforce what you learn both in and out of the gym.
During the first three weeks, you will train twice per week with your trainer, focusing on learning proper technique and mastering fundamental movement patterns. As the program progresses, the emphasis shifts toward independence. From weeks four to seven, you will train once per week with your trainer and once per week on your own, applying what you have learned while continuing to refine technique and progress your training.
Throughout the program, your training is structured and progressive, with clear guidance on how to continue improving beyond the seven weeks. In the final week, your trainer will evaluate your progress and provide personalized recommendations for next steps – whether that is continuing with Personal Training, training independently, or transitioning into another training option at Wijs.
