Growing up, movement has always been a natural part of my life. It showed up in many different ways: from hiking to sports like soccer, floorball and boxing. Alongside that, I attended a school of visual arts, which shaped me into a creative person who does not believe in one-size-fits-all approaches.
I studied physiotherapy in my home country, Slovakia, including an Erasmus exchange in the Czech Republic. After gaining my first year of clinical experience, I decided to continue developing myself and moved to the Netherlands to pursue a Master’s in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Sciences. It has been six years since I moved here and I am still in love with the place and people.
My relationship with movement has evolved over time. In my early twenties, I found my appreciation for strength training. No other type of exercise gives me the same feeling as being under a heavy barbell. I am a strong advocate for strength training across all age groups, especially for older adults and women.
Outside of work, you will find me in the gym more often than not, occasionally at a (hot) yoga class, spending time outside – preferably with a cup of coffee in my hand – doing pottery or cuddling with my cat.
I treat people as a whole. While many come in with a specific injury or goal, I always look at the bigger picture: how the complaint affects your daily life, your routines, and the support you have around you.
My aim is to create a space where you feel supported and understood, and to show you that improvement is possible. Every person is different, which is why I tailor each treatment to your individual needs.
I see my role not only as a therapist, but also as a guide. I want to give you the tools and confidence to manage well outside of our sessions. Education is an important part of my approach, and I encourage people to stay curious, especially about their own body.
Over the years, I have gained experience treating a wide range of complaints, including sports injuries and chronic pain. I work with a diverse group of people: from those recovering from injuries to individuals preparing for surgery, as well as older adults. Prehabilitation and preventative care are equally important, and I value supporting people in taking an active role in their health.
