I am a two-culture kid – born in Moldova, raised in the UK, and now based in Amsterdam. I come from a theatre and dance background, which influences the way I move and teach – with creativity, expression and a sprinkle of humour (or at least I like to think so).
I am naturally bubbly, friendly, and joyful, and I love creating an environment where people feel comfortable, seen, and supported in their movement practice. I also like to believe I am introspective and constantly searching for ways of bettering myself, both physically and mentally. When I am not at the studio, you will likely find me running through Vondelpark or lifting weights at the gym.
I have always been drawn to working with people and helping them grow, but what drew me to Pilates specifically was the way it connects body and mind. I was fascinated by how something that looks quite simple and effortless can feel so challenging – and how much mental awareness it requires.
Pilates helped me feel more at home in my own body, and that is something I love passing on to others. It teaches resilience, patience, and the simple (not so simple) ability to stay present. That experience naturally made me want to share it with others – supporting people, challenging them, and helping them discover what they are capable of in a way that feels encouraging rather than intimidating.
My philosophy is centered around making the unconscious conscious; helping people become more aware of how they move, the habits they carry, and how those patterns show up in the body.
I find it fascinating that so much of the work we do in Pilates actually happens in the mind. It is not just about moving better, but about paying attention. Throughout my classes you can expect to hear me use visual imagery to help make sense of the movement. I try to create a positive, engaging movement experience where people can build awareness, feel stronger, and ultimately feel more at home within their bodies and minds while keeping it accessible to everyone.
